The hair should be about 1/4" long. That's equal to about two weeks of hair growth. We recommend beginning waxing regimens in the fall/winter because of this, but waxing can be done at any time of the year and most clients turn to waxing during the spring and summer months especially.

How long does the hair need to be?
What type of wax do you use?
We will use hard wax (stripless), strip wax, or a combination of both, depending upon the area being treated. If you simply prefer one type over another just let us know and we'll be happy to accommodate your preferences!
Does waxing hurt?
The discomfort that comes with waxing gets better with time, but if it's your first time then yes- it can be a quick, sharp pain when the wax is removed. This sensation lessens with each treatment. The benefit of waxing FAR outweighs the momentary discomfort of your initial waxing sessions, though. We promise!
What is the aftercare?
You'll be given an aftercare sheet after your treatment, but some things to consider are applying SPF 30+ to the waxed area and to avoid using chemical exfoliants and scrubs for a day or two. Aftercare varies according to the area being treated, so we will cover everything you need to know during your treatment!
